Job summary

Trifecta Recruitment in Geelong seeks an Estimator to support a growing division of a national commercial builder. You will prepare cost estimates for a range of commercial projects, review drawings and tender docs, and manage subcontractor pricing with senior leadership guiding growth in Victoria.

Location in Geelong with exposure to diverse project types. Strong client and stakeholder engagement will be key as the business grows and delivers long-term career opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Estimator in Commercial Construction.
• Geelong or Victorian construction experience essential.
• Experience on commercial new build or fitout projects.
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Relevant qualifications in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying.

Trifecta Recruitment have partnered with a highly regarded Commercial builder who deliver a diverse range of fitout, refurbishment and new build projects across multiple sectors up to $50M.

With an established presence in the Geelong market and a strong pipeline of work secured, they are continuing to grow their local team. With a number of exciting projects either underway or due to commence shortly, they are now looking to appoint an Estimator to join their Geelong office and support the continued growth of the business.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing division of a national builder, where you will work closely with senior leadership and play a genuine role in the continued growth of the Victorian operation.

Your New Role

Working closely with the senior leadership team, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions across a range of Commercial projects.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Managing subcontractor pricing, trade breakups and supplier engagement.
• Conducting feasibility assessments and cost planning for upcoming projects.
• Assisting with value engineering, cost-saving opportunities and post-award handover to the delivery team.

You will gain exposure across a wide variety of project types, offering strong diversity in your day-to-day work.

What You Need To Succeed

• Experience in an Estimator role within Commercial Construction.
• Local Geelong or Victorian construction experience is essential.
• Experience across Commercial new build or fitout projects.
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or similar will be highly regarded.
