Job summary

Harnest, part of Mazzei Group, seeks an experienced Estimator to join our Adelaide team. You will prepare tenders, cost plans, purchase orders and pricing submissions across social and SDA housing projects, collaborating with Sales, Design and Construction teams to ensure commercial viability.

You will review drawings, obtain subcontractor pricing and contribute to risk assessments, striving for accurate pricing and continuous improvement across estimating processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in estimating within residential, townhouse or medium-density construction.
• Strong understanding of construction methodology, buildability, costs and structural complexity.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong commercial acumen, attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed tenders, cost plans, BOQs and pricing submissions across social and SDA housing projects.
• Review architectural drawings, engineering documentation, specifications and scopes of work to identify risks, opportunities and cost impacts.
• Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier pricing to ensure competitive and commercially sound submissions.
• Contribute to value management initiatives and risk assessments during the tender process.
• Prepare purchase orders and procurement documentation for trades and suppliers.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to manage variations and ensure client requirements are met.
• Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and industry partners.
• Support continuous improvement across estimating, procurement and pricing processes.

About The Role

We're seeking an experienced Estimator to join our growing Harnest team in Adelaide. Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you'll play a key role in preparing tenders, cost plans, purchase orders and pricing submissions across a diverse pipeline of social and affordable housing projects.

Working closely with Sales, Design, Project Management and Construction teams, you'll help ensure projects are commercially viable, accurately priced and delivered to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

About You
