Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Sydney's Erskine Park is seeking an experienced Local Freight Officer (HC Driver) Level 3 to join our team. You will deliver consignments to customer sites across the Sydney area and surrounding regions, focusing on reliable, safe local deliveries.

We value a 'Can Do' attitude, clear written and verbal communication, and a solid knowledge of the Sydney metro area. Current HC licence and willingness to undergo security checks are essential.

Qualifications

• Current HC licence essential.
• Previous experience performing local deliveries within the Sydney area.
• "Can Do" attitude with a high standard of customer service.
• Clear communication skills both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of the Sydney metro area.
• Willingness to provide a current full Driving Record when requested.
• Willingness to undergo a Security Clearance & Pre Employment Medical as part of the recruitment process.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of consignments to various customer sites such as major DCs, shopping centres, wholesalers & businesses
• Perform local and shuttle duties as required
• Build strong relationships with customers
• Complete the secure delivery of items within specified time frames
• Follow company procedures associated withpre start checks, restraint of loads and securing of vehicle
• Adherence to stringent security requirements
• Maintain accurate records using the PDA
• Ability to complete runs both within Sydney area and ad hoc deliveries to Canberra when required
