Job summary

Tandem Partners Pty Ltd is seeking an ER Specialist to join its People & Culture team in Adelaide, with travel to the Barossa Valley. The role supports multiple sites, advising leaders on employee relations, performance management, and investigations.

You will partner with unionised environments, EBAs, and drive stakeholder relationships across sites. This is a path to a future HR Business Partner role within a collaborative and inclusive organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience handling Employee Relations matters and a solid understanding of EBAs or unionised environments.
• Ability to run performance management conversations and workplace investigations with sound judgment.
• Strong communication skills and confidence partnering with operational leaders.
• Proactive, collaborative HR mindset with a desire to develop into a HR Business Partner role.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an ER Specialist to join a high-performing People & Culture team based in Adelaide with travel to their other office 1-2 times a week in the Barossa Valley.

Supporting multiple operational sites, this role will partner closely with leaders across the business, providing advice and guidance on a broad range of HR matters. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional looking to deepen their Employee Relations experience and progress into a future HR Business Partner role.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing advice and support to managers on employee relations and people matters
• Assisting with performance management conversations and workplace investigations
• Supporting leaders in unionised and EBA-covered environments
• Attending meetings, documenting outcomes, and ensuring appropriate follow-up actions
• Building strong stakeholder relationships across multiple sites through regular travel

About You

• Exposure to Employee Relations matters, including performance management and workplace issues
• Understanding of Enterprise Agreements (EBAs) and/or unionised work environments
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to partner with operational leaders
• A proactive and collaborative approach, with a genuine interest in developing your HR career
• Open to candidates from a variety of industries including FMCG, manufacturing, logistics, retail, mining, healthcare, or other operational environments
