Operating within a complex and project-driven environment, the business is experiencing significant expansion and continues to invest heavily in its people, leadership capability and HR function.

As part of this growth, an opportunity has arisen for an HR Business Partner to join a collaborative and well-supported People & Culture team. This is a newly created role that offers genuine visibility, stakeholder exposure and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the business.

About The Role

Reporting to a Senior HR Business Partner, this is a broad and hands-on HR Business Partner opportunity supporting a diverse workforce across corporate and operational environments.

Partnering closely with Project Directors, operational leaders and senior stakeholders, you'll provide advice across ER, IR, workers' compensation, performance management, leadership coaching and employee lifecycle activities.

Supporting a unionised workforce, you'll play a key role in navigating complex people matters, building leadership capability and driving positive employee outcomes. The role also offers exposure to global mobility, visa management, onboarding and HR projects, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their HR experience within a growing organisation.

Key Areas of Focus Include:
  • Providing advice and support on ER and IR matters, performance management and employee relations issues
  • Interpreting Awards, Enterprise Agreements and Australian employment legislation
  • Supporting union-related matters and working within a unionised workforce environment
  • Coaching and upskilling managers on people management and leadership capability
  • Building trusted relationships with Project Directors, operational leaders and executives
  • Managing Workers' Compensation and Return to Work matters in partnership with key stakeholders
  • Facilitating first-day inductions and supporting employee lifecycle activities
  • Supporting global mobility programs and visa-related processes
  • Presenting HR updates and initiatives to leadership groups and stakeholders
  • Contributing to HR projects, continuous improvement initiatives and broader people programs
About You

You'll be a commercially minded HR professional who is confident, proactive and an excellent communicator, with a natural ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders and coach leaders through complex people matters.

To be successful, you'll bring:
  • Experience in a Human Resources Advisor, Senior HR Advisor or HR Business Partner role
  • Strong Employment Relations and Industrial Relations capability
  • Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation
  • Experience interpreting Awards and Enterprise Agreements
  • Exposure to unionised or highly regulated workforce environments
  • Experience managing Workers' Compensation and Return to Work matters
  • Strong stakeholder management, coaching and influencing skills
  • Confidence presenting to leadership teams and facilitating discussions
  • A proactive, adaptable and commercially minded approach
  • Full Australian working rights
  • A current driver's licence and willingness to travel to sites when required

Experience within construction, infrastructure, engineering, industrial, manufacturing or similar operational environments will be highly regarded.

Why This Role?

This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR professional looking to broaden their experience across business partnering, ER, IR, workers' compensation and leadership coaching while working within a growing and highly respected organisation.

  • Newly created role due to significant business growth
  • Ideal next step for a Senior HR Advisor ready to move into HR Business Partnering
  • Broad exposure across ER, IR, Workers Compensation and leadership coaching
  • Opportunity to partner directly with senior leaders and operational stakeholders
  • Exposure to global mobility and visa-related initiatives
  • Collaborative and supportive HR team environment
  • Strong investment in Learning & Development and career growth
  • Opportunity to influence people practices across a growing organisation
  • Diverse workforce spanning corporate and operational environments
  • Genuine ownership, visibility and long-term career development opportunities

For HR professionals looking to take the next step in their career and develop broad Business Partnering capability, this is an outstanding opportunity to join a growing organisation where HR is highly valued and supported by leadership.
