Job summary

Talent Web Recruitment is helping a leading global investment and trading platform in Australia hire an Equity Operations Associate. The role centers on day-to-day equities processing with hands-on corporate actions experience across Australian and international markets.

You will manage settlements, reconciliations, client communications and risk controls, while supporting regulatory compliance (ASIC/AUSTRAC) and process improvements. This 12-month fixed-term contract may extend or convert.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in equities operations, settlements, custody, corporate actions, or securities services within a brokerage, financial services, or investment environment.
• Hands-on experience managing mandatory and voluntary corporate actions.
• Strong Excel and problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of ASIC and AUSTRAC regulatory requirements.
• Highly organised and detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end corporate actions processing across Australian and international markets.
• Oversee daily securities settlement, stock transfers, cash movements and reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve settlement exceptions and operational discrepancies.
• Monitor operational risks and escalated issues where required.
• Support liquidity management, client servicing, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Contribute to process improvement, system enhancements, UAT testing, and operational projects.

The Equity Operations Associate will support the day-to-day running of equities business. The successful candidate will bring strong hands-on corporate actions experience, managing both domestic and international events across listed securities, while ensuring accurate processing, reconciliation, client communications, and risk management.

*This is initially a 12-month fixed term contract with view for extension or conversion to permanent*.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end corporate actions processing across Australian and international markets.


• Oversee daily securities settlement, stock transfers, cash movements and reconciliations.


• Investigate and resolve settlement exceptions and operational discrepancies.
