The Equitable Learning & Disability Support Advisor is accountable for ensuring students with a disability, long-term illness and/or mental health condition are actively and positively included in all aspects of Chisholm life and can participate equally with other students.
The role will provide direct support to students and primary care givers through appointments, class talks, presentations, workshops, resource creation, and support to educators to meet the needs of the student body and deliver a proactive and reactive service across Chisholm.
The incumbent will be a key and active participant of the Student Support and Engagement team and provides expertise to colleagues across the organisation, students and external support service providers. The position also requires the astute handling of sensitive, complex and demanding scenarios involving multiple stakeholders.
Qualifications and skills required for the role:
You will have a relevant post-secondary qualification, degree and/or postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline with subsequent relevant experience.
