Mach 1 Panel & Paint Pty Ltd in Mornington, Victoria, is hiring an experienced Panel Beater for a full-time role at their new workshop. The position offers sponsorship if needed, and overtime opportunities.

The role involves stripping, repairing, and restoring vehicle panels with attention to detail and safety in a modern, heated workshop. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of panel beating experience, be capable of independent work as well as part of a team, and have experience

Qualifications

• Qualified panel beater with at least 3 years' experience.
• Experience with panel beating on various vehicle brands and models.
• Prestige vehicle experience (Mercedes, BMW) would be highly regarded.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety.

Responsabilités

• Strip and rebuild vehicles as part of the bodywork process.
• Assess extent of motor vehicle repairs, restoration or customization requests.
• Carry out general repairs and rectification work.
• Remove, repair, and replace damaged panels following repair procedures.
• Repair dents using fillers and restore pre-accident condition.
• File, grind, and sand vehicle body surfaces.
• Re-fit and align parts; realign chassis and body frames.
• Work with fibre glass where required.

The Role

Come and join us at our new workshop in Mornington, Victoria. With full heating all through winter, you are sure to be very comfortable working in our new workshop. Our family-owned workshop has immediate vacancies for Experienced Panel Beaters to join our team.

We are an accredited sponsor, and sponsorship is available where required.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Full-time Panel Beater role includes the following tasks and duties:

• Vehicle strips and rebuilds
• Assessing the extent of motor vehicle repairs, restoration, or customization requests.
• General repairs and rectification work
• Remove, repair, and replace damaged panels following repair procedures
• Assessing the extent of motor vehicle repairs, restoration, or customization requests.
• Repair dents on damaged vehicles using fillers
• Filing, grinding, and sanding the body of the vehicle to restore to pre-accident condition
• Re-fit and align all parts
• Realign chassis and body frames
• Working with fibre glass

Qualifications or Requirements

• Ability to work independently in a time and safe manner and in a team from time to time
• Qualified panel beater with at least 3 years' experience
• Additional experience may be considered in lieu of qualifications
• Attention to detail and pride in your work
• Experience with panel beating on a variety of vehicle brands and models
• Prestige vehicle experience – such as Mercedes, BMW would be highly regarded
• Understanding of workplace health and safety
• Positive and motivated

Salary

• Annual Salary Range $70,000 to $90,000 plus superannuation - commensurate to skill set and experience.
