Job summary

Goulburn Valley Equine Hospital Pty is seeking a casual Equine Hospital - Facilities Assistant to work across the hospital, facilities and reproduction areas in Congupna, VIC. The role involves daily horse care, feeding, watering, stable cleaning, assisting veterinary and reproduction teams and helping with facility maintenance.

You will work hands-on with horses, support across departments, follow instructions, maintain records where required and hold a current Australian driver's licence.

Qualifications

Confident handling of horses of different sizes and temperaments.
Willingness to work across hospital, facilities and reproduction areas.
Reliable, self-motivated and able to follow instructions.
Ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment.
Hold a current Australian driver's licence.

Responsibilities

Feeding and watering hospital and reproduction horses according to schedules.
Cleaning and maintaining hospital stables, yards and paddocks.
Maintaining clean, safe hospital areas and assisting with equipment.
Handling client-owned horses when directed by veterinary/nursing staff.
Assisting with embryo transfer prep and reproduction duties.
General day-to-day tasks across hospital, facilities and reproduction areas.
