Uniting Limited in Melbourne seeks a Financial Counsellor to support individuals and families facing hardship. You will offer counselling, information, advice and advocacy to help navigate financial challenges and make informed choices.

Role involves building financial literacy, developing referral pathways, and promoting Uniting’s services within the community. You will work with diverse backgrounds, ensuring respectful, culturally sensitive support.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Financial Counselling (CHC51115) required.
• Member of Financial Counselling Victoria (FCVic).
• Understanding of issues relevant to vulnerable consumers such as financial hardship, family violence, mental health and cultural diversity & sensitivity.
• Provide financial literacy information to residential households, community groups and related organisations.
• Advocate payment arrangements and access to consumer schemes and services.

Responsabilités

• Provide financial counselling, information, advice and advocacy to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship.
• Develop referral pathways and collaborates with other services to promote Uniting’s financial counselling.
• Deliver tailored support and build financial literacy and wellbeing in diverse communities.
• Promote Uniting’s services within the community and engage with support networks.
