Job summary

SEE Group are calling for expressions of interest for experienced Project Engineers to join our Infrastructure division on an upcoming Townsville project. You will provide planning, coordination and supervision of technical aspects of our construction projects, with responsibilities including quality assurance, project administration, financial reporting and health and safety.

The role requires a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) and proven delivery experience, plus strong planning, contract

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) is required or equivalent.
  • Experience delivering civil engineering projects and delivering outcomes.
  • Proven planning, negotiation and contract management abilities.
  • Strong MS Excel and MS Project skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee development and management of construction methods, materials and quality standards.
  • Interpret detailed specifications and ensure compliance with engineering requirements and safety standards.
  • Manage daily site operations including labour, plant and equipment.
  • Prepare and implement schedules to ensure timely delivery of materials and coordination of site activities.
  • Review drawings to inform project planning; estimate costs and develop cost plans.
  • Implement quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle; prepare progress reports.

The Opportunity

SEE Group are calling for expressions of interest for experienceProject Engineersto join our Infrastructure division on an upcoming project in the Townsville region.These arediverse and fast-paced roles whereyou will be responsible for providing advice in the planning, coordination and supervision of technical aspects of our construction projects. You will be responsible for conducting quality assurance, project administration, financial reporting, ensuring health and safety and meeting project deadlines. You will be able to establish a professional work environment that includes fostering a positive atmosphere, promoting proactive and effective communication, and facilitating problem solving.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development and management of construction methods, materials, and quality standards for civil engineering projects;
  • Interpret detailed specifications and ensure compliance with engineering requirements and safety standards;
  • Manage daily site operations, including labour, plant, and equipment;
  • Prepare and implement schedules to ensure timely delivery of materials and coordination of site activities;
  • Review architectural and engineering drawings to inform project planning;
  • Estimate project costs and develop comprehensive cost plans;
  • Implement quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle; and
  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports.
Essential Skills and Attributes
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil);
  • Background in Engineering, Construction and Delivery processes and experience in actual project delivery;
  • Proven management skills, practices and planning ability;
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks and maintaining focus on priorities;
  • Highly effective skills in negotiating, evaluating and administering contracts, specifications, Australian standards;
  • Computer literacy, particularly experience working with MS Excel and MS Project applications;
  • Highly effective planning, organising and problem-solving skills together with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others; and
  • High attention to detail.
