Job summary

Ausdrill are seeking expressions of interest for a Blast Crew Offsider to join our Perth-based team in the Peel region. Monday to Friday work with residence in the Peel region required.

Key duties include assisting the Shotfirer with blasting operations, marking drill patterns, and maintaining safety and site standards. Successful candidates will meet pre-employment medicals and hold a current National Police Check.

Qualifications

• Hold a current Dangerous Goods Security Card.
• Have a valid C Class drivers licence.
• Assist the Shotfirer to prime, charge, stem and tie in blast patterns in a safe and efficient manner.
• Mark out drill patterns as instructed by the shotfirer or site manager.
• Meet all site requirements, including pre-employment medicals and have a current National Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with blasting operations under supervision.
• Keep blast vehicles clean and tidy at all times.
• Maintain explosives magazines in a safe, orderly manner.
• Adhere to all safety requirements at all times.
• Assist with other duties as required.

Working Monday to Friday, the successful candidate must reside in the Peel region.

Key Requirements:

• Hold a current Dangerous Goods Security Card.
• Have a valid C Class drivers licence.
• Assist the Shotfirer to prime, charge, stem and tie in blast patters in a safe and efficient manner.
• Mark out drill patters as instructed by the shotfirer or site manager.
• Ensure blast vehicles are kept clean and tidy at all times.
• Ensure explosives magazines are maintained at all times.
• Ensure all safety requirements are strictly adhered to.
• Assist with other duties as required.
• Ability to meet all site requirements, including pre-employment medicals and have a current National Police Check.
