Workways Australia Ltd seeks an Environment Supervisor to lead the on-ground field team in ecological restoration projects across Queensland. You will coordinate bush regeneration, weed control, revegetation and site assessments while ensuring environmentally responsible practices.

The role requires experience in supervising teams, project management, risk management, strong communication and WHS knowledge, plus relevant certifications and a valid licence.

Qualifications

• Experience in bush regeneration or related fields such as horticulture, weed control, revegetation.
• Experience supervising teams and performance.
• Experience in project management including budgets, quotations and planning on-ground delivery.
• Understanding of best practice bush regeneration and landscaping.

Responsabilités

• Supervise on-ground field team and coordinate NRM activities.
• Contribute to project planning, scheduling and delivery.
• Maintain safety and WHS compliance and reporting.

The Environment Supervisor (ES) is responsible for on-ground supervision and coordination of the Environment field team, undertaking natural resource management (NRM) activities including bush regeneration, weed control, revegetation and site assessment. The ES plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the organisation operates in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner.

About You:

• You have experience in bush regeneration and / or associated fields of work, such as horticulture,weed control,revegetationand landscaping.
• You have experience in Supervising teams and performance.
• You have experience in project management, including preparation of budgets, quotations, assessment and planning of on-ground service delivery.
• You have an understanding of best practice bush regeneration,landscapingandlight construction
• You demonstrate knowledge of weed control measures,vegetation communities, plant identification skills, and awareness of environmental issues.
• You have strong communicationand administrative skills, including the use of computers and Microsoft Office suite.
• You have a demonstrated understanding of risk management processes and systems, and their relationship to business/ projectobjectives.
• You have the ability to work as a team member within the ethos and values of Workways Australia.
• Certificate III in Conservation & Land Management or equivalent
• Drivers Licence
• Experience leading teams whilst undertaking ecological restoration.
• White Card (Construction)
• Physically fit, motivated and capable of working in challenging outdoor environments
• Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment
• Understanding and ability to follow WHS policies and procedures
• ACDC Licence
• Senior First Aid
• Chainsaw Certificate Level 1 & 2
• 4x4 experience/qualifications
