Envite Environment Officer in Bairnsdale, Vic, is seeking an experienced Environment Officer to support the Senior Leadership Team in delivering environmental projects, proposals, reports, and risk management.

The role requires bush regeneration and land-management expertise, strong on-site leadership, and the ability to work independently within a not-for-profit context. You will join Envite, a division of Workways Australia, with opportunities for development and flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience in bush regeneration, horticulture, revegetation and landscaping.
• Knowledge of best practices for bush regeneration, weed control, and nursery work.
• Skilled in identifying plants and understanding local vegetation communities.
• Ability to lead teams and supervise on-site work.
• Experience managing projects from start to finish.
• Professional communication with stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and also as part of a team.
• Clear communicator, both verbally and in writing.
• Comfort using Windows and basic computer programs.
• Aware of risk management and apply safety practices.
• Committed to protecting the environment and supporting the community.
• Trained in using tools and machinery safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposals and reports; provide administrative support and ensure quality and risk management.

About the Opportunity

The Environment Officer will support the EnviTE Senior Leadership Team in the delivery and coordination of Environmental projects and services including but not limited to preparation of proposals, reports, administrative support, quality and risk management.

Desired Qualifications

• Formal qualifications in NRM, Conservation or Land Management.

• Qualifications in Chainsaw Operations.
• Current Chemical Users certificate.
• Current First Aid certificate.
• White Card (General Construction Induction).
• Project Management or equivalent experience
