Job summary

Brunel is seeking a site-based Environmental Officer to support a major road and civil infrastructure project in regional NSW. You will partner with project management and construction teams to oversee environmental compliance, contractor performance, and site-level risk management throughout the lifecycle.

You will monitor performance, conduct inspections and audits, provide timely environmental guidance to project managers and site crews, liaise with regulators and stakeholders, and help

Qualifications

• 5+ years' environmental experience in civil infrastructure.
• Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science/Engineering/Management.
• Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and approvals.
• Experience with construction contractors and site teams.
• Auditing, compliance and reporting experience.
• TfNSW road project experience is highly regarded.
• Current Australian driver's license.

About This Role

This is a site based Environmental Officer position supporting the delivery of a major road and civil infrastructure project. You will work closely with the project management and construction teams, overseeing environmental compliance, contractor performance, environmental documentation and site-based environmental risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• 5+ years' environmental experience within civil infrastructure, road construction or major projects.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of environmental legislation, approvals and construction environmental management.
• Experience working directly with construction contractors and site delivery teams.
• Strong environmental auditing, compliance and reporting experience.
• TfNSW road project experience would be highly regarded.
• Current Australian driver's licence
