Job summary

Stanbroke is seeking an Environmental Officer to join our processing plant team. You will monitor environmental risk, prevent pollution, and drive improvements while ensuring compliance with our Environmental Authority.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will gather samples, maintain records, and prepare environmental reports. The role collaborates with engineering, maintenance, farming and plant management teams on site.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Queensland environmental legislation and EPA conditions.
• Ability to analyse data, report trends and write clear regulator reports.
• Strong communication with regulators, staff and community.

Responsibilities

• Ensure abattoir compliance with Environmental Authority and regulations.
• Perform inspections, record-keeping and annual environmental reporting.
• Monitor wastewater, leachate ponds, irrigation, stormwater and trade waste.
