Unitywater is seeking an Environment Advisor to provide environmental guidance across water and wastewater operations and capital projects, ensuring compliance with Queensland legislation and licences.

The role spans office and field work, with a tool-of-trade vehicle, and involves site inspections, audits, incident investigations, and data analysis to drive sustainable improvements across the Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast and Noosa regions.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or related discipline.
• Knowledge of Queensland environmental legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with environmental inspections, audits, incident investigations and reporting.
• Ability to review environmental management plans and advise contractors and teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Current C Class Driver’s Licence and Construction Induction (White) Card.
• Experience in utilities, infrastructure or civil construction; GIS, erosion and sediment control, water quality sampling and lab practices.

Responsabilidades

• Provide environmental advice across water and wastewater operations and capital projects.
• Undertake site inspections and environmental audits; support incident investigations.
• Review environmental management plans and advise contractors and teams.
• Analyse environmental monitoring data and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with operational teams, contractors and stakeholders to manage risks.
