Job summary

Lactalis Australia is seeking an Environmental Advisor to lead environmental stewardship at the Harvey site. You will oversee WWTP operations, ensure licence compliance, and drive improvements across regulatory reporting and sustainability initiatives.

Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will supervise two WWTP operators, engage with regulators and stakeholders, and support budget planning while promoting a strong HSE culture.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science (or equivalent experience).
• 1–2 years’ experience in wastewater management (highly regarded).
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and environmental systems.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with SAP and environmental reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).
• Ensure compliance with DWER and licence conditions.
• Identify system improvements and implement procedural changes.
• Manage environmental reporting, data analysis, and regulatory submissions.
• Support capital planning and budget adherence.

About the Opportunity:

As our Environmental Advisor, you will be the go-to expert for all things environmental at Harvey Fresh. You will ensure our site meets licence and legal requirements, with a strong focus on wastewater treatment operations. Reporting to the Health, Safety & Environment Manager, you will supervise two WWTP Operators and work closely with internal teams, regulators, and community stakeholders.
