Job summary

Airservices Australia is seeking an Environmental Advisor to help shape sustainability, compliance and risk management across a national operating environment. You will partner with teams nationwide to support environmental obligations and implement the Sustainability Strategy, reporting to the Environment and Climate Lead.

The role focuses on practical environmental advice, incident management support and climate initiatives, contributing to Airservices’ safety and environmental performance.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting environmental management systems, environmental compliance or environmental projects.
• Experience partnering with diverse stakeholders to deliver environmental outcomes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate technical information.
• Excellent organisation and project coordination capabilities with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Power BI or ESRI GIS platforms will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental advice and support for operational and project teams across Australia.
• Support the ongoing development and implementation of the Airservices Environmental Management System.

The Role & The Team

Join us at an exciting time as we deliver our 2024-2030 Environmental Sustainability Strategy and continue to strengthen our environmental performance across the organisation.

Reporting to the Environment and Climate Lead, you’ll work closely with Air Traffic Services, Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting, and Project teams to provide practical environmental advice, manage risks and support compliance with environmental obligations. No two days are the same. One day you may be assisting with environmental incident management, while the next you could be supporting climate change initiatives, advising project teams or helping implement environmental and heritage management plans.

You’ll become part of a high-performing and supportive Noise and Environment team that is passionate about making a positive difference. The team is proud of its collaborative culture, technical expertise and commitment to delivering sustainable outcomes across Airservices.

In this role you will:
