Job summary

Naiman Clarke is a leading Australian law firm seeking a planning and environment lawyer with 3–4 years PQE to join its Sydney team. You will work closely with partners on significant development, infrastructure, energy, and regulatory mandates across major projects.

You will handle advisory and contentious matters, including Land and Environment Court proceedings, with a strong emphasis on commercial judgement and client service. The role offers a hybrid 3:2 model and generous annual leave.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years PQE in planning, environment, or local government law.
• Strong drafting and advocacy skills.
• Experience in advisory and contentious matters is desirable.
• Excellent communication and client management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Advise on planning approvals and development strategy.
• Guide environmental regulation and compliance.
• Assist with compulsory acquisition and land compensation matters.
• Support major infrastructure and urban development projects.
• Involve in energy transition and data centre projects and Land and Environment Court proceedings.
