Job summary

NBN Co in Queensland is seeking a Customer Field Technician based in Ingham. You’ll work independently to install copper or fibre cabling, set up customer equipment, identify and fix faults, and keep customers informed and supported throughout the process.

No telecommunications experience is required; we’ll train you. If you enjoy hands-on work, problem solving, and talking with customers, this role is a great fit. A current, clean Driver’s Licence and strong safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous telecom experience isn’t required—we’ll teach you what you need to know.
• What matters most is enjoying hands-on work, solving problems, and speaking with customers.
• You may come from a trade or customer-focused role; plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, or related fields are valued.
• A strong commitment to safety, clear communication, and a current, clean Driver’s Licence are essential.
