Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or near completion.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for applying engineering theory.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work well in a team.
• Strong organisation skills to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and seek help when needed.
• Genuine interest in resources, mining, or heavy industrial sectors.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering electrical engineering design and control system solutions across projects (electrical systems, PLC programming, SCADA configuration, testing, commissioning).
• Prepare electrical specifications, technical documentation, and manuals under senior guidance.
• Support development and review of electrical documentation and project deliverables.
• Configure and develop SCADA systems to meet project requirements.
• Develop knowledge of Australian standards and design codes.
• Prepare test plans and undertake functional testing of hardware and software.
• Assist with engineering estimates, quotations and technical inputs for proposals.
• Represent EMtek professionally during client interactions and site visits.
