Job summary

The Shire of Carnarvon is seeking a 2026 Business Concierge Officer (Fixed Term) to provide high-quality front-line and administrative support across multiple departments and locations. The role supports completion of a Certificate III in Local Government and offers broad exposure to local government operations while mentoring is provided.

Successful applicants will assist internal teams, interact with community members, and work flexibly across Shire sites to deliver efficient service delivery

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Commitment to completing a Certificate III in Local Government.
• Experience in administration, retail or customer service is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide front‑line and administrative support across multiple departments and sites.
• Support internal teams and engage with community members in a respectful, responsive manner.
• Assist with data entry, records management, and general admin tasks.
• Rotate through customer service, tourism, community services and corporate services.
• Coordinate meetings, events, and staff activities and prepare agendas or minutes.
