Job summary

Optus Enterprise is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join the GTAC Networks team, delivering high‑quality managed network services for Australian enterprise customers. You’ll troubleshoot complex incidents across enterprise, data centre, and wireless environments.

You’ll implement changes within ITIL change and problem management, configure network gear (Cisco, Aruba, Riverbed), and collaborate with customers and delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting and resolving high-impact incidents.
• Technical capability across routing, switching, datacentre and wireless technologies including Cisco, Aruba and Riverbed.
• Experience in ITIL-driven managed services with end-to-end ownership of incidents, problems and changes.
• Clear communication skills to engage customers and stakeholders during critical situations.
• Continuous improvement mindset with automation, scripting, documentation and staying current with new network technologies.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents across enterprise, datacentre, and wireless environments, ensuring SLAs are met.
• Implement and manage network changes, upgrades, and patching in line with ITIL change and problem management processes.
• Configure, support, and maintain network infrastructure using Cisco, Aruba, and Riverbed.
• Collaborate with customers, service management, and internal delivery teams, providing clear communication and technical guidance.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation, scripting, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
