Job summary

Avanade Australia is seeking a Data Migration Architect to design and lead end-to-end data migrations across cloud and enterprise platforms, working with stakeholders, solution architects, data engineers, and delivery teams to ensure accurate, secure, and efficient migration.

You will define migration strategies, oversee ETL/ELT, governance, and validation, and mentor data engineers through the migration lifecycle in a hybrid Australia-based environment.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering large-scale data migration programs.
• Experience with data governance, data quality, and reconciliation in migration projects.
• Strong collaboration with business, data engineering and solution architecture teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead data migration strategies and roadmaps for enterprise programs.
• Conduct source system analysis, data profiling, and migration readiness assessments.
• Facilitate workshops to define scope, mappings, transformations and validation criteria.
• Design and oversee ETL/ELT frameworks to support migrations.
• Establish data quality and cleansing processes to improve outcomes.
• Develop and manage reconciliation frameworks and validation controls.
• Lead migration planning, mock migrations, cutover activities and go-live support.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes.
