Job summary

The University of Queensland is seeking a Solution Architect - Data to provide strategic leadership for the organisation’s data architecture, establish enterprise data models and promote scalable, compliant data capabilities.

You will guide solution delivery, platform evolution, and drive innovation across data and integration services with emphasis on governance and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in IT or equivalent experience.
• Proven expertise designing, implementing, and operating complex integration solutions in large enterprises.
• Experience applying agile project management methodologies to deliver outcomes.
• Strong leadership skills to motivate and manage teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the enterprise data architecture, standards, and roadmap aligned with business objectives and governance.
• Establish data architecture principles, standards, patterns, and best practices for reusable data capabilities.
• Lead the development and governance of enterprise data modelling frameworks across conceptual, logical, and physical layers; mentor data modellers.
• Provide solution design leadership and architectural oversight for data platforms and integration solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams to translate requirements into data solutions throughout delivery lifecycle.
• Drive data platform capability uplift, shape technology roadmap, evaluate emerging tech, manage risk and compliance.
