Job summary

TAFE SA is seeking an experienced Enterprise Cloud Platforms Lead to steer cloud, hosting, identity, backup and recovery platforms across the organisation. This role anchors on Regency campus with enterprise-wide responsibility for strategy, roadmaps and governance.

You will drive secure, scalable environments (cloud, hybrid and on‑prem) and lead cross‑functional teams, managing budgets, vendors and stakeholder expectations to deliver reliable technology services for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience leading cloud/platform operations in complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of Azure, hybrid cloud, identity platforms, backup and recovery capabilities.
• Experience developing technology strategies, operating models and roadmaps.

What You’ll Drive

The Enterprise Cloud Platforms Lead provides enterprise-wide leadership and strategic direction for TAFE SA's cloud, hosting, infrastructure, identity, backup and recovery platforms.

You will:

• Lead enterprise platform strategy, including cloud and hosting roadmaps, operating models and technology direction, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities, digital transformation initiatives and whole-of-government requirements.
• Oversee secure, scalable and resilient cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments, applying strong governance, architectural standards, risk management and continuous improvement practices.
• Drive platform reliability, cyber resilience, disaster recovery readiness and service performance across critical enterprise technology services.
• Provide leadership across teams, budgets, vendors and stakeholders, building high-performing capabilities and delivering value-for-money outcomes.
• Partner with senior leaders to enable strategic initiatives and deliver technology services that support students, staff and organisational success.

The Skills You Bring

You are an experienced technology leader with a track record of delivering enterprise-scale platform services in complex environments.

You will bring:

• Demonstrated experience leading cloud, infrastructure, platform or technology operations functions.
• Strong knowledge of Azure, hybrid cloud services, identity platforms, backup and recovery capabilities, and enterprise hosting environments.
• Experience developing technology strategies, operating models and roadmaps that support organisational outcomes.
• Strong commercial, vendor and financial management capabilities.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across technical and business audiences.
• A passion for developing high-performing teams and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.

What You Need to Know

A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) issued by the South Australian Department of Human Services is required before employment.
