Job summary

Recruitment Hive in Canberra seeks experienced Enterprise Architects to lead and specialise across application, cloud/infrastructure, technology, data/AI domains. The role involves developing reference architectures, strategies and roadmaps, and advising executive and technical teams on complex digital architecture design.

Candidates should have 5+ years in Enterprise Architecture, with proven ability to drive architecture reviews, governance and investment proposals.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ experience in one or more Enterprise Architecture domains.
• Experience developing and applying enterprise architecture thinking to infrastructure, cloud, data, AI and/or applications, including technology roadmaps, target-state architectures, standards & architecture patterns.
• Proven ability to conduct architecture reviews, assurance activities and governance processes, including assessment of technology risks, compliance, solution designs and investment proposals.
• Experience developing architectural artefacts including current & future state diagrams, investment & transition roadmaps, solution architecture designs (conceptual, high-level and detailed), standards, policies, principles, guardrails, reference architecture, architecture advisories & strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse complex business & technology challenges and support informed decision-making aligned with organisational strategy.

Our client, a major Federal Government department responsible for agriculture, fisheries, forestry, biosecurity and agricultural trade, are seeking the experience of multiple Enterprise Architects across the application, cloud / infrastructure, technology or Data/AI domains.

Duties of the Enterprise Architect

• Lead & specialise in one or more of the identified Enterprise Architecture domains;
• Develop & maintain reference architectures, high level designs, policies, principles, patterns, & guardrails for use by development and operations teams;
• Collaborate on and develop current & future state architectures, strategies, & roadmaps;
• Provide documented advice on complex digital architecture design to the Executive & technical teams;
• Analyse business needs, goals & drivers against current capabilities & existing systems to define the future state required to achieve business goals.

Skills and Experience Required
