Workbench International is expanding its Australian presence and seeks an Enterprise Account Executive to lead the full enterprise sales cycle in Melbourne or Sydney. You will engage finance, operations and executive stakeholders to understand cost, payroll and forecasting needs, then tailor multi-stakeholder proposals.
You’ll own discovery, customized demos, and negotiations, closing strategic deals while feeding market insights back to product and GTM teams.
Enterprise Account Executive | Melbourne or Sydney | $350K+ OTE
Workbench International builds job-costing and project management software for civil, construction, trade and engineering contractors. It covers cost control, forecasting, payroll and field mobility, all built on commercial financial management rather than bolted onto a scheduling tool.
For more than 30 years it grew the way good founder-led businesses do: through referrals and reputation, with customers who stay.
In 2026, Riverside Company, a North American private equity firm, acquired the business. The growth plan is clear. They want to professionalise go-to-market, invest behind sales, and push harder into Australia and international markets over the next 3–5 years.
The business has 50 people across Auckland and Melbourne. Around 20 consultants handle implementation, support and consulting, and around 20 work in product and engineering.
The opportunity now is to join the company at a time when significant investment and energy are poured into the sales and marketing functions to help this grow to new heights.
You don't need a construction background. What matters is whether you can run a long, consultative sale and stay credible in front of a finance team.
Construction, trades or contractor software experience helps a lot, but it isn't essential. Credibility with financially minded buyers matters more.
Most PE-backed "growth" roles drop you into a business with a sharp investor deck and not much underneath it. This is the other way around: a mature product, loyal customers, decades of market credibility, and an investor now putting money behind sales.
Most enterprise roles also make you one seller among many. Here, Australian enterprise is yours. You shape and grow the function first.
The timing matters too. The sales function is being built right now. Get in while the playbook is still being written.
