Job summary

Canberra Grammar School is seeking an Enrolments Officer on a fixed-term, one-year contract to support enrolment growth and retention. You will manage the prospective family journey, maintain accurate data and coordinate the enrolment pipeline, acting as a first point of contact for families in person, by phone or email.

About the Role

The Enrolments Officer plays a key role in supporting the School’s enrolment growth and retention objectives through proactive relationship management, accurate data management and effective pipeline coordination.

This role contributes to the School’s enrolment growth by supporting the effective management of the prospective family journey, maintaining accurate enrolments data and fostering positive relationships with future members of the School community. This role also supports the Head of Enrolments to facilitate the seamless operation of the Enrolments process.

The Enrolments team is customer facing and the first point of contact for the community in person, by phone or by email. This position is well suited to someone that flourishes in a dynamic and fast paced environment, supporting others to make certain that operations run smoothly and efficiently to meet demanding deadlines.

You will demonstrate:

• Proven experience delivering high-level customer service, ideally in a professional or education setting, with the ability to build rapport and foster positive relationships
• The ability and experience to take ownership, anticipate needs, and ensure that every interaction reflects the values and standards of Canberra Grammar School
• Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with confidence engaging with a wide range of stakeholders
• The ability to analyse, prioritise and manage competing tasks effectively, while maintaining composure under pressure and meeting demanding deadlines
• Strong data entry capability with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Well developed administrative skills and confidence working with databases and digital systems (experience with Synergetic or similar student management systems is highly desirable)
• A proactive and collaborative approach, working effectively with colleagues across the School to ensure seamless operations
• A professional presentation and a genuine commitment to supporting the School’s enrolment growth and community engagement objectives

• Excellent technological literacy across a range of applications
• A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card
• A current National Police Check
