Northern NSW Local Health District is seeking an Enrolled Nurse at Grafton Base Hospital to support the Discharge Lounge, ensuring timely transfer of patients from inpatient units and delivering safe nursing care.

The role is permanent Part Time with up to 38 hours per week, offering professional development, incentives and a collaborative team environment within the NSW Health network.

About The Role

The Discharge Lounge provides short term care and supervision for patients waiting to be discharged from the hospital.

Grafton Base Hospital is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to liaise with Nursing Unit Managers, nursing staff, medical teams and the Manager Patient Flow to identify and transfer patients to the discharge lounge from the inpatient units at the earliest time of day possible.

Primarily responsibility to provide nursing care for patients in a safe and competent manner. Nursing practice should reflect current knowledge of nursing and related disciplines.
