Job summary

Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Permanent Full Time Enrolled Nurse at Canterbury Hospital, Sydney. 38 hours per week with a salary of AU$75,011–AU$81,508 per annum plus super.

The EN works under the guidance of national nursing standards, collaborating with Registered Nurses and a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality care to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Current enrolment with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an EN with medication endorsement, including oral and intravenous competencies.
• Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills within a multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrated organisational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Work under guidance to provide safe, compassionate, person-centred nursing care.
• Collaborate with RNs and multidisciplinary team to support patient care.

About the Role

The EN works under the guidance of Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council National Competency Standards for the Enrolled Nurse (EN) in collaboration with Registered Nurses (RN), multidisciplinary team and others to provide safe, compassionate, person centred care. The EN is responsible at all times for his/her actions and is accountable for delegated nursing care.

Ideal Candidate

• Current enrolment with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an EN with medication endorsement, including oral and intravenous competencies
• Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Demonstrated organisational and time management skills
