Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service in Nambour, QLD is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to join the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Directorate. You will contribute to culturally informed care and safety in our health service.

• Demonstrate an understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, history, health inequities and health issues to deliver informed, evidence based culturally appropriate care.

• Understand your broad responsibilities for safety and quality in healthcare and actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) – State 2015 – Generic Level Statements Nurse Grade 3 and the Queensland Public Service values.
• Actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace and notify a responsible officer when concerns exist about workplace or patient safety.
• Demonstrate an understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, history, health inequities and health issues to deliver informed, evidence based culturally appropriate care.

Salary between $75,573 - $80,204 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 3). Applications will remain current for 12 months / the duration of the vacancy.
