Job summary

NSW Health's Westmead Hospital is hiring an Enrolled Nurse for Day Surgery and Surgical Short Stay Units on a temporary part-time basis (up to 7 November 2027). The role offers 16 hours per week and pays $37.83–$41.10 per hour, providing patient-centred nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated recent clinical experience relevant to the position
• Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own workload within the scope of practice of an Enrolled Nurse
• Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology, written and verbal means; and sound interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate with the multidisciplinary health care team
• An understanding of patient centred care and demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of the multi-disciplinary health care team.

What you'll be doing
As an Enrolled Nurse, you will provide individualised, evidence-based nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse to support positive patient outcomes. You will play an important role in delivering safe, compassionate and efficient care across the Day Surgery and Surgical Short Stay Units.
