UnitingCare Health Pty Ltd. at St Stephens Hospital, Hervey Bay, invites applications for an Enrolled Nurse – Casual Pool.

You will deliver safe, patient‑centred care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and contribute to maintaining a high‑quality clinical environment across a 24/7 roster. The role requires a Diploma of Nursing or equivalent with AHPRA registration, and a minimum 12 months post‑graduate experience in an acute hospital setting.

Location: St Stephens Hospital, Hervey Bay QLD
Employment Term: Casual opportunities available

Role purpose

Deliver safe and holistic care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse, applying best clinical practice to support patient outcomes and a safe care environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional person-centred care by collaborating with the multidisciplinary team and applying strong communication and customer service skills.
• Apply sound clinical practice to ensure a safe environment and promote optimal patient health.
• Effectively exchange information with the Registered Nurse regarding patient responses to treatment and nursing care.

Qualifications and requirements

• Diploma of Nursing or equivalent and AHPRA registration.
• Minimum 12 months post-graduate experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Experience in one or more of the following clinical areas: General Medical/Surgical, High Dependency/Cardiac, Rehabilitation.
• Full Australian Working Rights (note: sponsorship is not available).
• Flexibility to work across a 24/7 rotating roster and knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety practices.
• Commitment to patient safety and quality improvements and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Willingness to obtain required vaccinations per infection control requirements and to undergo a national criminal history check and functional assessment.
