Job summary

Queensland Government, through Rockhampton Hospital, is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to deliver person-centred nursing care in the Day Surgery setting. You will work closely with registered nurses and a multidisciplinary team to apply evidence-based practices and maintain high standards of patient care.

The role focuses on clinical governance, education of patients and staff, and contributing to quality improvement while supporting colleagues through mentorship and collaborative practice.

Qualifications

• Enrolled Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
• Evidence-based nursing in Day Surgery.
• Strong communication and relationship-building across a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred, evidence-based nursing care within the EN scope in the Day Surgery environment.
• Contribute to clinical governance, risk management, quality improvement and review of nursing standards, procedures and systems.
• Promote lifelong learning and health education to patients and carers; support staff development.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, lead within the team and support practice change and clinical innovation.
