Job summary

The Department of Health Tasmania invites applications for a Permanent Part Time Enrolled Nurse at Mersey Emergency Department. Job description

The Team:

Welcome to the Mersey Emergency Department. Our friendly team works closely together to provide caring, high-quality support to our community.

The Enrolled Nurse provides direct patient/client centred nursing care to assigned patients/clients, within the scope of practice of an enrolled nurse and under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse/midwife to achieve planned patient outcomes. At all times, Enrolled Nurses are expected to adhere to relevant policies and protocols, including those related to mandatory education, training, and competency assessments.

The Enrolled Nurse plays a vital role in delivering holistic patient care and fostering a safe, supportive environment. They participate in multidisciplinary team discussions to support the achievement of desired patient outcomes and operate under the direction of the Nurse Unit Manager.

You will need

• Sound knowledge of the principles of nursing care, procedures, and practices.
• Demonstrated ability to practice in a manner that respects the right of individuals and groups.
• Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills.

Details of appointment

Permanent part time, shift worker position, working 32 hours per fortnight, as soon as possible.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, fixed term and casual vacancies, including opportunities for Transition to Practice Enrolled Nurses across the north west region.

Salary

$73,109 to $80,524 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

• Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
