Job description

Overview

Enrolled Nurse role at Queensland X-Ray in the Townsville region. This is a full-time position in a supportive, fast-paced medical imaging environment where nursing skills are highly valued and continually developed. This is a Monday to Friday role, rostered between 7.6-hour shifts. Following successful completion of a 6-month probation period, Saturday shifts may be required, in line with service requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse, providing clinical care and patient support across imaging and procedural services.
• While full training in Radiology Nursing will be provided, candidates with prior experience of two years or more in a hospital setting are highly regarded.
• Demonstrate initiative in managing workload, maintain clinical accuracy, and uphold safety standards, with effective documentation and patient-centred care.
• Remuneration: Classification aligned with Enrolled Nurse Level 3.2 – 3.5, dependent on experience.

About You

• Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse (with medication administration).
• Minimum 2 years’ recent experience in an acute hospital setting (desirable).
• Demonstrated IV cannulation skills (on-the-job training provided).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
• Strong time management.
• A compassionate, team-focused approach to delivering high-quality patient care.
