Job summary

Serco is recruiting an Enrolled Nurse for Clarence Correctional Centre near Grafton, NSW. You will join a multidisciplinary health team delivering care in a correctional setting and support a range of clinical duties within your scope of practice.

Relocation is required with assistance provided. The role offers a chance to develop nursing skills in a unique healthcare environment and contribute to the health of a diverse patient population in the Northern Rivers.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as Enrolled Nurse (Division 2).
• Minimum 2 years post-graduate nursing experience.
• Sound clinical knowledge and confidence within your scope of practice.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Support patient assessments and ongoing clinical care.
• Administer medications within your scope of practice.
• Undertake wound dressings and clinical interventions.
• Monitor blood glucose levels and other observations.

About The Role

As an Enrolled Nurse at Clarence Correctional Centre, you'll work alongside Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide quality care to people in a correctional environment.

This is a varied clinical role where you'll have the opportunity to use your nursing skills across primary healthcare, medication administration, wound care, clinical observations and responding to medical emergencies within your scope of practice.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Supporting patient assessments and ongoing clinical care.
• Administering medications within your scope of practice.
• Undertaking wound dressings and clinical interventions.
• Monitoring blood glucose levels and other observations.
• Maintaining accurate clinical records.
• Working collaboratively with Registered Nurses and the wider healthcare team.

About You

To be considered, you'll need:

• Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2).
