Job summary

Costa House in Lara, Victoria, is seeking dedicated Enrolled Nurses to join our aged care team on a casual basis. Our 120-bed facility on 65 peaceful acres offers a supportive environment for delivering high-quality, resident-centred care.

You will work with Registered Nurses to monitor wellbeing, administer medications, and support positive outcomes for residents. A Diploma of Nursing with current AHPRA EN registration is required, with a minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience, preferably

Qualifications

  • Diploma of Nursing and current AHPRA EN registration.
  • Minimum 2 years post-graduate clinical experience, preferably in aged care.
  • Knowledge of residential care practices, care planning and documentation.
  • Understanding of aged care accreditation processes and Safe, high-quality care.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork with residents, families and care team.
  • Flexible, professional approach to shift work and immunisations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive admission and ongoing assessments to identify care needs and support individualized care planning.
  • Maintain accurate documentation reflecting care delivery and resident outcomes.
  • Administer medications safely, ensuring proper handling and record-keeping.
  • Monitor residents' health and promptly report changes to Registered Nurses.
  • Participate in handovers, care planning discussions, and safety initiatives.

We are seeking dedicated Enrolled Nurses to join our aged care team on a casual basis, providing high-quality care and clinical support across our care community.

No two days are the same! As an Enrolled Nurse you will:
  • Conduct comprehensive admission and ongoing assessments with residents and families to identify care needs and support individualised care planning.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation that reflects care delivery and resident outcomes.
  • Administer medications safely and ensure correct handling, storage, and record-keeping.
  • Monitor residents’ health, report changes promptly to Registered Nurses, and support the care team in delivering safe, person-centred care.
  • Participate in team handovers, care planning discussions, and initiatives that promote a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for residents.
About You

You’ll thrive with us if you have:

  • Diploma of Nursing and current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse, with a minimum of 2 years post-graduate clinical experience, preferably in aged care.
  • Strong clinical skills, sound judgement, and the ability to monitor, assess, and respond to changes in residents’ health.
  • Knowledge of residential care practices, care planning, clinical documentation, and the Commonwealth Aged Care Funding Instrument.
  • Understanding of aged care accreditation processes and a commitment to providing safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with residents, families, and the care team.
  • Current National Police Certificate and NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (or ability to obtain), required immunisations, and a flexible, professional approach to shift work.
