Job summary

Helping Hand Aged Care in Clare is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to deliver nursing and personal care within their scope of practice, under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.

In this role you will plan, implement, and evaluate care, contribute to care plans with the team, and support induction of new workers. Applicants must have Diploma of Enrolled Nursing and current AHPRA registration, and be willing to obtain NDIS screening.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Enrolled Nursing and current AHPRA registration.
• IT literacy with health care database and email/online platforms.
• Strong written communication and documentation skills.
• Understanding of quality assurance and continuous improvement.
• NDIS Worker Screening clearance or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support the Registered Nurse in planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing and personal care.
• Contribute to the formulation of client care plans in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team under RN supervision.
• Provide client care in accordance with the care plan, legislation, standards and Helping Hand policies.
• Support team development and induction of new workers by promoting learning.

The Enrolled Nurse, in collaboration with the Registered Nurse is also responsible for the coordination and delegation of clients care tasks to Care Workers.You’ll Also Make An Impact By

• Assisting and supporting the Registered Nurse in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing and personal care.
• Contributing to the formulation of client care plans in collaboration with other members of the multi-disciplinary team and under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Providing client care in accordance with the care plan, relevant legislation, contemporary care standards and Helping Hand philosophy, policy and procedures.
• Supporting team development and induction of new workers by promoting, encouraging and fostering workplace learning.

What You’ll BringTo succeed in this role, you will have:

• Diploma of Enrolled Nursing
• A current AHPRA registration
• Demonstrated information technology literacy, with specific skills in the application of health care technology (database) and communication platforms (email, online etc).
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a range of people including providing instruction to others, client care review and updates, constructive feedback, incident investigation and supporting others.
• Good written communication skills including experience in preparing routine documentation that is accurate, timely and reflects the specific details required to ensure quality care (e.g., care notes, incident reports)
• An understanding of quality assurance and continuous improvement
• Valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance or be willing to obtain one

You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following

• Previous experience in the Aged Care sector
• An understanding of the aged care sector and contemporary issues relating to the Aged Care Industry including the Aged Care Accreditation Standards
• Post basic qualifications relevant to aged care
• Current First Aid certificate
