Job summary

Calvary Home Care Adelaide is seeking a passionate Enrolled Nurse to provide high-quality personal care to clients in the local community. You will join an established team delivering within an agreed framework, supporting clients with daily living activities and clinical care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.

Ideal candidates hold current AHPRA registration, have community or aged care experience, a full driver’s license and solid knowledge of WH&S and infection control.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA Nursing Registration.
• Willing to obtain checks (NDIS/WWCC/WWVP) and police clearances.
• Full driver’s license.
• CPR and Manual Handling competency.

Responsibilities

• Support clients to live the life they choose, promoting independence.
• Contribute to physical, emotional and lifestyle needs through assessment and observation.
• Implement care interventions as delegated by the Registered Nurse and documented in the plan of care.
• Recognise clinical deterioration and escalate appropriately.
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, wounds and medications while encouraging independence.

About the role

The position of Enrolled Nurse is part of an integrated team of people working within an established and agreed framework attending to the personal needs of our clients. The Personal Care role is instrumental to ensuring that we are providing high quality care to our clients at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Support clients to live the life they choose allowing them to exercise choice and independence.
• Contribute to the physical, emotional and lifestyle needs and wants of the residents, through assessment and observation.
• Implement clinical and care interventions as delegated by the Registered Nurse, and as documented in the clients plan of care.
• Recognise and Respond to clinical deterioration, with appropriate escalation
• Assist the clients with their personal care and hygiene needs, wounds and medications whilst encouraging their independence

About you

• Current AHPRA Nursing Registration
• Willing to obtain appropriate checks- NDIS and Police clearances
• Full drivers license
• CPR and Manual Handling
• Experience in a community or aged care setting
• Commitment to continuous quality improvement
• Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
