Job summary

Marist Sisters’ College Woolwich in Sydney seeks an Assistant English Coordinator to provide strategic leadership, guide curriculum delivery and model exemplary practice. You will work with NESA requirements and support inclusive teaching across English, including Stage 6 courses.

The role is 1-point promotional, temporary up to 3 years, with full-time permanent teaching duties. Applicants should bring expertise in English pedagogy and a commitment to student wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Must have tertiary qualification in Education and current NESA accreditation.
• Religious Education qualifications or willingness to achieve them as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Lead English teaching and learning, ensuring curriculum delivery and assessment excellence.
• Teach Stage 6 English courses, including Extension 1 & 2 (desirable).
• Create and implement engaging, rigorous learning experiences for diverse students.
• Develop and utilise formative and summative assessments to drive progress.
• Use data to set challenging objectives and provide feedback.
• Mentor teachers through professional development and shared learning.
• Demonstrate strong classroom management focused on student wellbeing.
• Integrate technology to enhance contemporary learning experiences.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through Co-Curricular involvement.
