About the role

This is a unique opportunity to step into an engineering leadership position supporting the sustainment of over 250 Australian Defence Force Ground Support Equipment asset types.

As the Engineering Team Lead - Recurring Services, you'll lead a talented team of engineers responsible for delivering safe, timely and effective engineering outcomes that maximise asset availability and operational capability.

With a strong focus on engineering management, you'll oversee technical investigations, analysis, risk assessments and decision-making, while ensuring engineering activities are delivered to the required standards, quality, cost and schedule. Working across a complex defence environment, you'll lead the delivery and review of a range of critical engineering artefacts, including Engineering Responses, Engineering Change Proposals, Hazard Logs, Safety Case Reports and Test & Evaluation Plans.

You'll also play an important role in continuous improvement, ensuring engineering processes, technical documentation and through-life knowledge management support the long-term sustainment of Defence capability.

You're a collaborative and influential engineering leader who enjoys developing people while delivering high quality technical outcomes, within a complex, regulated environment.

You'llbring a strong understanding of engineering governance, product safety, risk management and lifecycle engineering, along with the ability to confidently navigate technical challenges.
