Novus Recruitment Solutions in Sydney is seeking an Engineering Team Lead to guide a 4–8 person engineering group while remaining 40–60% hands-on, shaping the product and architecture.

You will grow the team, set technical standards, drive AI-enabled SDLC practices with agents, partner with product managers, and deliver reliable estimates while mitigating risks in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

Qualificações

• Experience leading engineers with direct reports or evidence of elevating teams and peers.
• Excellent communication with ability to influence decisions beyond direct reporting lines.
• Track record of taking on hard, risky work and delivering results.
• Full-stack capability across backend and frontend technologies.
• Proven use of agentic engineering tools and techniques.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage a 4–8 engineer team, owning growth, performance and delivery.
• Stay hands-on as a senior engineer, designing and building the product.
• Set the technical bar for the team and grow engineers around you.
• Lead and expand AI usage within an AI-driven SDLC to raise development standards.
• Partner with product managers on how, why and when to build features.
• Develop accurate delivery estimates and ensure commitments are met.
• Monitor issues and risks and drive solutions.
