Northern Star Resources Limited invites applications for a residential Engineering Superintendent at the KCGM operation in Western Australia. Lead the fixed plant engineering team, ensure governance, integrity, and change control across the processing plant.

Qualifications

We have an enticingresidential Engineering Superintendent position at the world class KCGM Operation, one of the largest milling complexes in Australia with a mine life beyond 10 years. This is a rare moment to join. Our A$1.5 billion Mill Expansion has more than doubled capacity from 13 to 27 Mtpa and is now in commissioning, with a new primary crusher, a 5.8 MW SAG mill and a pebble crusher circuit coming to life ahead of tie in to the expanded plant. It is an exciting time to be involved. Join our esteemed technical team on the convenience of a 5/2, 4/3 (10 hour days) roster.

Here's what awaits you:

• Reporting to the Asset Health and Engineering manager, you are the technical authority for the fixed plant: its structural and mechanical integrity, the engineering standards and governance that set how the plant is designed and modified, and the management of change that keeps every alteration controlled. You own obsolescence and lifecycle planning, equipment standardisation and specification, and the configuration documentation that keeps drawings true to the installed plant.
• Deliver the fixed plant capital program from scope and engineering through to approvals and own the classified plant register and its statutory inspection compliance. With the expanded plant in commissioning and tie in, you will embed the standards, configuration control and integrity baselines that a new circuit needs from day one.
• Lead and develop the engineering team: build capability and succession for the critical roles, set and cascade clear objectives and performance measures so each person knows what they own and how it is measured, manage performance with timely feedback, and grow a culture aligned to the KCGM vision and our STARR values.
• Own the cost you control or influence, provide accurate input to the budget process, and explain and action variances where you hold a cost centre. Operate autonomously while keeping engineering priorities aligned across the wider processing team.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

Experience: Demonstrated extensive experience in fixed plant, mechanical or electrical engineering within a complex processing environment, with strong engineering governance, management of change and capital delivery experience. Comfortable owning technical standards and configuration data management. Familiarity with classified and registered plant statutory obligations, asset integrity management, and a CMMS such as Pronto.

Qualifications: A relevant engineering degree. Chartered status (CPEng) or RPEQ registration is highly regarded. Current C class Western Australian drivers' licence. Statatory Supervisor (S26)

Leadership: A track record of leading technical teams, developing capability and holding a standard, with the judgement to operate autonomously and the collaboration to keep the wider processing team aligned.
