Job summary

FLANDERS Australia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the PMO in Queensland. You will take direct accountability for the successful delivery of projects across our manufacturing, innovation, and corporate initiatives, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and quality outcomes.

You will lead cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and finance, embedding continuous improvements and ensuring compliance with our quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Management, or related field.
• At least three years of direct project leadership with full accountability for scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
• Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams in a matrix environment.
• Experience managing project budgets and controlling financial outcomes.
• Strong decision-making, leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Clear and confident communication with all stakeholders.
• Valid work authorization in Australia.
• PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the delivery of assigned projects, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives are met.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules with dependencies, critical paths, task ownership, and resource constraints.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation and contingency plans to protect delivery commitments.
• Direct and coordinate work across all functions to ensure tasks are completed according to plan.
• Maintain control of project budgets, tracking expenditure, forecasting costs, and ensuring financial objectives are met.
• Make timely decisions to remove obstacles, resolve conflicts, and maintain project momentum.
• Provide accurate and regular progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting achievements, risks, and corrective actions.
• Ensure all project deliverables meet agreed technical and quality standards.
• Lead lessons-learned reviews and embed improvements into future projects.
• Uphold and, where appropriate, challenge internal policies and processes to improve efficiency and outcomes.
