Job summary

Aurecon Group is recruiting an Engineering Manager for our Brisbane office. You will lead and coordinate discipline engineering activities across projects in our Queensland Mining & Resources team, providing technical leadership and mentoring multidisciplinary delivery to ensure successful outcomes.

You will manage plans, budgets and deliverables, review designs and calculations, and collaborate closely with clients to solve complex technical challenges while driving innovation and efficiency

Qualifications

• Mining/industrial sector experience is required.
• Chartered engineer and RPEQ accreditation, or working towards.
• Experience leading projects through the full lifecycle from feasibility to detailed design and execution.
• Strong technical capability with commercial awareness; balance engineering excellence with practical outcomes.
• Collaborative leadership with track record mentoring teams and building client relationships.
• Excellent communication across complex, multidisciplinary environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate discipline engineering activities across projects in the Queensland Mining & Resources team.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor multidisciplinary delivery.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver complex multidisciplinary projects within scope, schedule, budget and quality objectives.
• Review and approve key engineering deliverables (designs, calculations, drawings, documentation).
• Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to solve complex technical challenges.
• Manage project resources, work plans, estimates and priorities to support successful outcomes.
• Drive innovation, continuous improvement and optimisation across projects and processes.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, high-performing team culture.
