Job summary

HOERBIGER Automatisierungstechnik Holding GmbH in Australia seeks a senior engineering leader to drive the expanding engineering function for rotating equipment, including reciprocating gas engines and compressors. You will connect global strategy with regional execution to deliver high-quality, compliant solutions for customers.

You will shape local capability, set standards for rotating-equipment support, and collaborate across Sales, Field Service and Supply Chain to ensure delivery

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Experience with rotating equipment, ideally reciprocating gas engines and compressor systems.
• OEM training or hands-on knowledge of Ariel, Waukesha, Caterpillar or Jenbacher engines is highly regarded.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret customer requirements and develop custom technical solutions.
• Experience planning and delivering multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Clear communication and stakeholder management across customers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering function supporting rotating equipment, particularly reciprocating gas engines and compressors.
• Translate customer and stakeholder needs into clear, accurate and commercially sound engineering solutions.
• Partner closely with Sales, Field Service, Engineering and Supply Chain to improve alignment and execution.
• Review project scopes and technical specifications, and support the preparation of engineering data sheets, requisitions and technical evaluations.
• Develop and improve procedures for rebuilding gas engines and associated components.
• Coordinate multiple projects and priorities while maintaining quality, safety, environmental and ISO requirements.
• Keep current with relevant products, technologies, Australian standards and industry requirements.

• Strong analytical capability to interpret customer requirements and develop accurate, customized technical solutions.
