Job summary

Cover Genius is seeking an Engineering Manager in the Technology Team to lead development, support, and maintenance of key Customer Operations applications. You will mentor a 2–4 engineer team, shape technical direction, and contribute to a scalable AI-enabled platform.

You will work across Product, Infrastructure, Data & AI to deliver high-quality services, with hands-on coding in a TypeScript/NestJS and Python stack and a focus on performance, security, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Masters degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Strong frontend and backend expertise with React, TypeScript (NestJS) and Python/PHP.
• Experience designing and operating production systems; mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and technical execution for Customer Operations applications.
• Own delivery of critical Customer Operations applications meeting requirements, performance and security.
• Drive engineering best practices, quality standards and architectural principles.
• Collaborate with Product, Infrastructure, Data & AI teams across timezones to build the tech platform for embedded insurance.
• Provide technical guidance to Customer Operations teams and remove blockers.
• Evaluate and integrate AI tools to improve productivity, quality and velocity.
